I have been buying, selling and collecting antiques and collectables since 1980. I enjoy the artistry, quality and craftsmanship of the handmade period items. I can visualize the time and the thought that went into making each and every item.. I look at the pieces and wish each item could talk about its travels and what it has seen and where it started it’s life. My favorites are the Victorian and Art Nuevo periods, but I find a appreciation in many periods based on the style and craftsmanship that went into the item.
I have been in the construction trades most all of my life except for a few years that I worked as a butcher both commercially and retail. I worked as a Energy Specialist for the State of Arizona’s Park Service and as a Facility Director for the local school district trying to make the State of Arizona a better place for our children to grow and be more environmentally responsible. I hope that things only get better in this diversified economy, but time will tell how well my suggestions will be utilized.
